SilkyRidge® is named after Cefn Sidan, a beach in Wales that translates to 'silky ridge' and is also referred to as Pembrey. Renowned for its eight miles of golden sands, it draws comparisons to California's Gold Coast. However, the beach is also known for its perilous waters, which made navigation challenging for boats. Pirates often struggled to spot land, only catching sight of a vague ridge, which they dubbed the Silky Ridge, identified by the prominent sand dunes visible from a distance.
